How does Full Swing actually measure my ball and club data?

A combination of ION3 overhead camera measures the club data and initial impact data for the ball then the primary measurements take place in-flight as the ball crosses the infrared tracks (Pro Series) or high-speed cameras (Sport Series) directly in front of the screen. All while also providing instant replay of your clubhead at impact for you to review.

How does Full Swing know what my ball flight will be?

By measuring your club and ball data first at impact, then again in-flight as the ball approaches the screen. By collecting data mid-flight of how the ball traveled so far, Full Swing is able to determine exactly where it will enter the simulated world on screen and where it will land in a matter of milliseconds.

What do Full Swing launch monitors measure?

Up to four players can play at a time on Full Swing software for a stroke play contest.

How do I update my Full Swing?

Full Swing has made the process as easy as possible, just like any app update on your phone, you will receive a notice that new courses are available and the next time you open your simulator, you’ll be able to update remotely online.

Is this the launch monitor I saw on Golf Channel?

Yes, Full Swing is the Official On-Air Partner of The Golf Channel since 2019 and is featured in all studio productions such as School of Golf and Morning Drive.

Can I customize my practice range?

Yes, Full Swing continues to give you more ways to customize your practice. For right now, you are able to select what yardages targets are placed whether greens, baskets, or target sticks. In the future, there will be even more ways but for right now, continue to get real club and ball data after each shot, reviewing and comparing your averages next to your shot tracers.

Do I need to use a marked ball?

No, use any standard white golf ball and you won’t have to worry about specially marked balls, marking your balls or adding metallic reflectors.

Technical Requirements

Connect to iOS device: download the Full Swing app on your iPhone or iPad to start getting data. Connect via Bluetooth to listen to the data on your headphones or take a quick look at your Apple Watch.

For GSPro and E6 Connect, follow individual PC requirements.

Ideal Space Requirements

The Full Swing KIT Launch Monitor should sit on the same level surface as your hitting area, approximately 10 feet behind the ball. Tee location should be at least 10 feet away from the golf impact screen or net. The more space between the hitting area and impact screen/net, the better for radar-based launch monitors as it uses that extra ball travel to measure more data.
